PROJECTS
SVQ (Qualified Life System) is a Deep Learning-based AI solution optimizing equipment lifecycle management at Angra 1. Developed for Eletronuclear, it predicts qualified service life, preventing premature replacements. By enhancing efficiency and cost savings, SVQ has delivered significant financial benefits. In 2024, SVQ played a key role in securing the plant’s 20-year license extension, and the International Atomic Energy Agency recognized it as a global benchmark in nuclear industry innovation.
In a postulated or severe accident, the system calculates the dispersion of the radioactive plume and the radiation dose rate released into the environment, deposited on the ground, and in humans (whole body, thyroid, and lungs).
Simunorm is a Deep Learning-based AI system developed through a collaboration between the Process Monitoring Laboratory (LMP) and the Nuclear Instrumentation Laboratory (LIN) for Petrobras. It predicts the likelihood of Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material (NORM), focusing on radium (Ra-226/228), the most common type found in oil and gas extraction fields.
